Terms of Service.
Welcome to Cashew. These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Voyagr, Inc. By using the app or website, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them readable. If anything's unclear, write to us.

1. Acceptance
By creating a Cashew account, downloading the app, or visiting cashew.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you're using Cashew on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to do so.
2. Your account
You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password safe. If you suspect unauthorised access, email security@cashew.app and we'll help. You must be at least 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK without parental consent) to use Cashew.
3. Your licence to use Cashew
We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own planning and travel needs. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or use Cashew to build a competing product.
4. Your content
You own everything you put into Cashew. Your trips, tasks, journals, notes, and photos are all yours. By using the app, you grant us a limited licence to host, copy, transmit, and display that content for the sole purpose of operating Cashew (e.g. syncing it across your devices, generating an AI itinerary at your request, showing a shared trip to a collaborator you invited).
This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
5. AI features
Cashew Premium uses AI to generate itineraries, packing lists, and journals. A few things to know:
- Outputs are suggestions, not advice. Always sanity-check travel times, prices, visas, and weather against authoritative sources.
- We don't promise accuracy. AI can hallucinate, get prices wrong, recommend closed restaurants, or invent landmarks. Use your judgement.
- You own the outputs for personal, non-commercial use.
- Don't paste in others' personal data. If you do, you're responsible for having had the right to do so.
- We may rate-limit AI generation to keep things sustainable.
6. Premium & payments
Cashew Premium is a subscription billed through Apple In-App Purchase. Pricing is shown in-app at the moment of purchase. As of the effective date:
- Premium: US$9.99 / month.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
If you're unhappy within 30 days of your first paid month, email hello@cashew.app and we'll request a refund through Apple on your behalf. Refunds are issued by Apple under their refund policy and are not guaranteed.
7. Free trial
Premium includes a 7-day free trial for new users. You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, Apple will charge the subscription you selected. Cancelling during the trial keeps Premium active until day 7.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use Cashew to:
- Break the law, infringe rights, or harass anyone.
- Upload malware, attempt to breach our security, or probe our infrastructure.
- Scrape, mirror, or otherwise extract our content at scale.
- Generate AI content that's illegal, abusive, defamatory, sexually exploitative, or designed to deceive others.
- Resell access or share a single account across an entire team without buying additional seats.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section. For severe violations we will do so without notice.
9. Third-party services
Cashew connects to third-party services (AI providers, map providers). Those services have their own terms; we're not responsible for them. Specifically, by enabling AI features, you agree your inputs may be processed by Anthropic and OpenAI under the terms in our Privacy Policy.
10. Our intellectual property
The Cashew name, logo, app design, source code, and content (excluding your content) are owned by Voyagr, Inc. or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not use any of it without our written permission, except as the app allows.
11. Warranty disclaimer
Cashew is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express, implied, and statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Cashew nor our directors, employees, or agents will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) Cashew.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Cashew will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits; if you live in one, the limit that applies to you is the most we can lawfully impose.
13. Termination
You may stop using Cashew at any time. You may delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we cease offering the service (we'll give 60 days' notice for the latter and help you export your data).
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (content licence, IP, liability, disputes) will survive.
14. Disputes & governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts in Cook County, Illinois, except where you have a non-waivable right to bring a claim in your country of residence (typically applies to EU/UK consumers).
Before filing, please email legal@cashew.app. Most things can be resolved in a single, friendly conversation.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance. If you don't agree to the changes, you can delete your account before they take effect.
